Solomon Islands Pavilion – TEA APAC NextGen Design Challenge Winner
Our 3,500 m² pavilion invites visitors on a journey through the past, present, and future of the Solomon Islands. The experience begins in the Tamate Dance Plaza, where guests receive a warm welcome amid towering straw Tamate figures, live performances, and mask-painting workshops that celebrate ritual and community. Visitors then explore scattered shell-money bracelet booths, crafting their own bracelets as keepsake of their journey and cultural discovery. The journey deepens inside the Shipwreck Pavilion, where immersive storytelling, live crew performances, and projection ship windows let guests witness the war’s impact beneath the waves. It culminates in an underwater projection hall inspired by coral reefs and diving caves—imagining a sustainable island future where the ocean remembers and renews.

Across the pavilion, four DIY bracelet booths invite visitors to collect small shells and unique charms inspired by Solomon motifs. By finding all four and assembling them, guests create their own personal shell money bracelet—a keepsake of their journey and cultural discovery.
